The short version
- The beta is free. It is a test. It can break, and it can change or end.
- Pippin can get rows wrong. Check anything that matters.
- Pippin sends excerpts of your screen text to the AI you pick. That provider’s terms apply to that text, and its costs are yours.
- Use Pippin only on a Mac and with accounts you are allowed to use.
- We give the beta “as is”. Your rights as a consumer under the law of your country stay in full.

Who you deal with
Pippin is made by Shubham Padia. In these terms, “we” means them.
These terms cover the Pippin beta app for Mac and this website. When you ask for the beta, download it or use it, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use Pippin.
You must be 16 or older.
A beta is a test
- The beta is free. We may charge for later versions. We will tell you before that, and you can choose then.
- It can have bugs, stop working, or lose data. Keep your own copy of anything that matters.
- We can change, pause or end the beta at any time.
- Pippin updates itself. It asks you before it installs an update.
We give you a personal, free right to use the beta on your own Macs. You may not sell it, rent it, or give out copies. Get it from this website only.
Pippin can be wrong
Pippin uses AI to write your rows and answers. AI makes mistakes. A row can be wrong, late, or missing. Pippin can close a row that is not done.
Do not rely on Pippin for anything where a mistake can cause harm: health, safety, legal or money deadlines. Check those yourself.
Your AI provider
Pippin has no AI of its own. It uses the one you pick: your ChatGPT (through Codex, from OpenAI), your Claude key (Anthropic), or your OpenRouter key.
- Your account or key is between you and that provider. Their terms and privacy policy apply to the text Pippin sends them.
- Any cost, limit or quota on that account is yours.
- We do not control what the provider does with the text, or whether it is available.

How you may use it
Do not use Pippin to:
- read the screen of a Mac, or the messages of an account, that you are not allowed to read;
- watch another person without their knowledge and their consent;
- break the law, or the terms of your AI provider;
- attack, overload or misuse this website, the update service or the download.
If you use Pippin on a work Mac, you must follow your employer’s rules. Some employers do not allow screen text to go to an outside AI.
Your data
What Pippin reads and writes is yours. It stays on your Mac, apart from what goes to your AI provider and the usage numbers named on the privacy page. We do not claim any right to it.
If you send us feedback, we may use it to improve Pippin, with no duty to you.
No warranty
We give the beta “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we make no promise that it works, fits a purpose, is free of errors, or is always available.
Our liability
The beta is free. So, to the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss that comes from using it, or from not being able to use it. This includes lost data, lost work, lost profit, and costs on your AI account.
What we never limit. Our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not let us limit or exclude. If you are a consumer, the rights you have under the law of the country you live in stay in full.
Ending
You can stop at any time: quit Pippin and move it to the Bin. How to remove everything.
We can end your use if you break these terms.
Changes to these terms
We may change these terms. The date at the top will change. If a change matters to you, we tell you before it applies, by email or in the app. If you keep using Pippin after that, the new terms apply.
Your local law
If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the law of the country you live in, and you can go to the courts there.
